| oh my lord, what a day... soo much has gone wrong that its as tho the evil unseen forces of nature are out to get us! ....with a vengence! our keyboard player Pauls flight got held up, so he was stuck in london while we had our last opportunity for rehearsals.. so we literally have to do a full rehearsal here tomorrow b4 we head to the venue. talk about pressure.. ALSO, the cd manufacturer called and told me he's having printing problems, so all the copies of the album have been held up, right to the final hour. they've had to RE-PRINT 500 copies of the album booklet.. oh man... NIGHTMARE! ANNND....the hotel have told us the sound engineer cannot set up at the time we planned, so he has to have stage lights, sound and equipment arranged all within an hour before the show!! he's absolutly furious with the hotel.. which means we have no time for a proper sound check... My first ever gig, and it seems everything going arse ways.. and all i can do is sit here laughin my stressed head off, updating this blog.. and to think.. all the women are runnin around like headless chickens, worrying about what to wear!! ohhh what a frickin day! i'm still excited tho, and more confident about the performance.... tho i did over-do it on the vocals today.. my throat is burnin... after chattin the venue organiser, and seeing the stage and seating arrangments drawn out on paper has put my mind at ease.. also the lads in the band are all geared up for it... lookin forward to it now.. and thankfully the medication has worked and cleared up my UTI. my lungs are also in flyin form #touch wood# soooo much to do, sooooo little time to do it, and i just know theres something vital im forgetting to do.. hmmm....... let me just check my planner... today i also bought a David Gray dvd 'live in slow motion' so im studying that, and seeing if i can keep up with him in the lungs department. god the mans a class singer... sum brilliant songs too ............sail away with me honAY............ | ricey scully is pluggin the launch all afternoon on his radio show! fair ball to him... i definatly owe him a pint! feelin confident this mornin, really lookin forward to it now! i just hope Midatlantic Duplications have the album cut and shut in time for the big gig! *crosses fingers* the last few months work have been like military persision, so we're cuttin it really fine.. ....actually, this new Snow Patrol album 'Eyes Open' is truly brilliant, and most likly responsible for my relaxed mind right now.... *thumbs up* Posted by paddy slattery on 24 June 2006 at 06:40 |

| ....this time next week i'll be HOPEFULLY celebrating a successful album launch. absolutly brickin it, the most nervous ive ever been in my life... myself and the band have barely feckin practiced our set yet the lads are so calm about it.. (true pro's) ...on the outside i'm calm and composed, but inside i'm petrified.......ahhh... we'll see how it goes.......right now my priority is a clean bill of health, and strong lungs. this U.T.I. if kickin the sheet outta my kidneys.. sooner the better i finish this medication Posted by paddy slattery on 23 June 2006 at 19:31 |
